Ivy Ada Black (nee Tanner)

Born 26.9.1925 in Sydney Australia

Died 16.4.2009 in Adelaide Australia.

Ivy was the loved daughter of Ivy Florence Nolan and Albert Rees Tanner.  She was a loving sister to Neita, Betty and Berenice.

Ivy was a World War II veteran and while enlisted she met and married Dr Roger Foster Black (deceased), in 1943.  Ivy worked tirelessly for numerous community organisations, as well as the Australian Labor Party.  She was a friend and confidant to many and loved by all who knew her. 

She was a loving mother to Judith, Stephen, John, Penelope and Quentin. 

Beloved mother-in-law of Lindsay, Jeanine, Fred and Carol.

Ivy was an adored Nana to Jane, Shane, Tony, Amanda, Tracey, Geoff, Scott and Nadia, Jessica, Kate, Stephen and James, Britt, Jon and Sean, Evelyn, Dustin and Alexander. 

Ivy was a great nana to Zak, Joshua, Justin, Mitchell, Tahlia and Cooper.

Ivy was loved by her numerous grandpuppies/children Satya, Alice, Missy, Sophie, Rosie, Snoopy, Flicky and Pepper! 

She was cherished by her numerous friends including Thelma (scrabble partner), Vanessa, Margaret, Rodney, Michael, Michelle, Ray and Jenny.

After a busy and fulfilling life may she now rest peacefully in God's care.
