Benjamin Brian O'Loughlin (Locky, DJ, Benno)
Born: PORT PIRIE, SA 05/03/1976 Passed Away: ADELAIDE SA 20/12/2007
Ben brought tremendous love and life, to the lives of everyone he touched. He enjoyed watching all sports and played cricket, football, grid iron and golf. A loud and proud supporter of: Australia; Port Pirie; The Port Adelaide Power; Port Adelaide Magpies; Port Pirie Bull Dogs Football Club; Coopers Pale Ale; The Red Hot Chilli Peppers; JJJ, stubby holders; hats; stickers; #18; Beastie Boys; Jim Beam; Ford and a firm Dick Johnson Racing man.
Ben was the life of any party, he always dreamt of being a comedian, or an actor and having twins. He looked forward to the: Big Day Out; Australia Day; X-mas eve at the Exeter Hotel; Clipsal followed by the Crown and Anchor; Fringe and any event in Adelaide which involved a big party - like a four year old at x-mas. He lived everywhere, loved everyone, helped anyone and tried to do everything. His life was as full and robust as he was. Who ate all the pies?? Ben always said he was 'bloody huge' and for that reason he became the 'man crane' (a furniture moving machine) for many friends and relatives. Ben tried numerous occupations before finally obtaining his truck licence (HR) and finding a career that he loved and was great at!
Ben was a loved and loving partner, brother, son, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was tremendously proud of his family, friends and loved ones (so much so, that he had his surname tattooed across his back). Ben loved passionately and with all his heart, sadly however, his heart did not share his strength and staminar.
He lived for the moment and therefore, he lived. He is loved by all of us who remain. We gather the strength to continue from his memory and do so, in honor of him. Ben was taken far to soon and we all continue to grieve his loss - everyday.
FOREVER YOUNG AND FOREVER LOVED
